J. J. Richard Gruber is currently the Director of the University of New Orleans Roger H. Ogden Museum of Southern Art. An established art historian his other works include monographs and catalogues devoted to Benny Andrews, George Andrews, Robert Rauschenberg, Nellie Mae Rowe, Thomas Hart Benton, Robert Stackhouse, Wolf Kahn and two previous works on William Christenberry. Mr. Gruber is also a recognized teacher and curator.
